The i3 TWO point-of-use sterile filter is used in medical settings to prevent infections caused by bacteria such as Legionella pneumophila, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and mycobacteria. It is used as a shower head for the sterile filtration of piped water. The water filter is used in situations where aerosols are formed and protects immunocompromised and immunosuppressed patients receiving medical treatment in oncological, transplant and intensive care units, and also neonates, from infection due to waterborne pathogens.
i3 Membrane's point-of-use sterile filters are CE-marked Class 1 medical devices and fulfil all the requirements of the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR).
The TWO connect has a quick release connector which permits rapid and secure changes of filter on the shower hose. Information about the relevant quick release connection adapters is available here.
The i3 TWO direct has a standard screw thread (1/2") which allows it to be fitted on the shower hose without accessories.
