i3 FlexiPor Aluminium oxide membrane

Membranes made of anodized aluminum are distinguished by swift filtration, efficient separation and high purity. The inorganic material displays many, narrowly distributed pores in the form of honeycombs and a high degree of porosity. Aluminum oxide does not contain any organically extractable components and displays only minimum adsorption. Pore sizes are 0.02 µm, 0.1 µm or 0.2 µm.

The membrane becomes practically transparent when wet and displays minimal auto-fluorescence. As particles are retained on the smooth surface, FlexiPor is eminently suitable for microscopic analyses. The material is not cytotoxic and also offers a good surface for cell cultures. FlexiPor membranes are manufactured by SmartMembranes GmbH.
