Analytical sample preparation

Ultra-sensitive analytical methods such as HPCS identify and quantify extremely low volumes of trace substances. To protect chromatographic columns, manufacturers recommend filtration of the samples and mobile phases preventing particles from altering the column package and therefore its separation characteristics. In order to maintain sample integrity, the filter material must neither release extractable components into the sample nor adsorb sample ingredients.

Ceramic membranes are free of organic "extractables and leachables". Particularly in the area of substances foreign to trace substance analysis and quality controls in pharmaceutical and foodstuff enterprises, this boosts the reliability of results.
